December 2024: Brooklyn Connolly is no longer with the company. Brooklyn is a Toronto-based journalist who joined BNN Bloomberg's digital team in May 2024. She specializes in stories on crime, health and human interest, and is also interested in photo and video production. Brooklyn was the 2020 recipient of the Investintech Scholarship for her investigative work on the over-incarceration of Indigenous women in Nova Scotia jails. Brooklyn holds an honours degree in journalism from the University of King’s College in Halifax. Her work has appeared in The Chronicle Herald — where she completed an internship — the Coast, Cabin Radio, CBC and the Guardian (U.S./U.K.), among others. She speaks English and has a basic knowledge of French.
