RED DEER — Prime Minister Mark Carney is coming back to Alberta today.
Carney is set to make a joint announcement with Alberta Premier Danielle Smith in Red Deer.
The two are expected to outline a new joint program to accelerate homebuilding in the province.
Carney’s schedule says he will also tour a housing site, visit a canola farm and meet with farmers.
Housing is a priority for Carney’s government.
Ottawa announced Tuesday it would work with the Northwest Territories government to build at least 560 affordable housing units.
