Robert Vallis, President, CEO, and Director of Tiger Gold Corp. (TSXV: TIGR) (FSE: D150) (OTCQB: TGRGF), discusses the gold exploration and development company’s focus on advancing the Quinchía Gold Project in Colombia’s Quinchía District, where three rigs have completed the more than 18,000-metre drill campaign ahead of schedule. Operating in what management views as an emerging tier-one mining jurisdiction, the company’s goal is to grow, categorize and de-risk a multimillion-ounce gold resource on a property it now owns outright, then carry it through engineering toward a development decision. As capital rotates back into gold and international producers look to Colombia’s under-drilled districts for scale, Tiger Gold is positioning itself to capitalize on a district-scale system that management believes is still expanding.
Complete ownership of a district-scale gold system
Unlike many junior explorers still carrying multi-year option payments, Tiger Gold has exercised its option to acquire a 100 per cent interest in the Quinchía Gold Project. According to Vallis, “We hold 100 per cent of the property now. We can focus that capital on better returns for the shareholder.” Full ownership removes a real and perceived financing overhang, redirecting capital from property payments into drilling and engineering, and lowering project risk at the stage where clarity matters most to investors.
The underlying project is a growing district scale multi-deposit story on one consolidated footprint where more ounces are being added by every drill result: Tesorito, where infill drilling is lifting confidence categories ahead of an updated MRE later this year. Miraflores, the high-grade underground deposit, which is fully permitted and still open at depth, and Ceibal, a new potential deposit one kilometre from Tesorito on the same fault line, continues to show growth from each drill hole and a large, mineralized footprint that remains open. That combination — one owner, one district and three deposits within reach of the same infrastructure — is what management believes separates Tiger Gold from single-asset peers.
Colombia’s emerging tier-one gold jurisdiction
With a strong gold price reshaping the exploration landscape, Colombia has become increasingly attractive to international mining companies, and the Quinchía District sits at the centre of that interest. Vallis says the jurisdiction, “checks the box on infrastructure, access to skilled labour,” alongside a mineral endowment that has outpaced most other gold jurisdictions in recent years.
For investors, Tiger Gold offers early-stage, leveraged exposure to a resource base that management expects to more than double, backed by a team with over three decades of experience, made up of senior producers and developers.
That producer-trained discipline — applied on the ground through an in-country team covering exploration, ESG and community engagement — is intended to make each step predictable rather than speculative. Consistent drill results, and a growing U.S. shareholder presence has given the company a much wider audience in the past number of months as it continues to grow resources and advance the Quinchía project.
$21-million financing, Tesorito results, and Ceibal drilling
Recent milestones include exercising the Quinchía option for full ownership, completing more than 18,000 metres of Phase 1 and Phase 2 drilling, reporting some of the best holes to date, and closing an oversubscribed $21-million financing to accelerate drilling at Ceibal with the goal of completing a maiden resource. On the resource work ahead, Vallis says “we have the possibility with this project and with what we’ve found already at Ceibal to potentially double of our resources from two million to over four million ounces.”
Drilling is expected to conclude by year-end, with an updated Tesorito resource and an initial Ceibal resource anticipated in January 2027. An updated PEA incorporating both is targeted by the end of Q1, with Tiger Gold positioning to commence a pre-feasibility study within 12 months. Management expects the updated study to define a project of greater in value, scope, and scale.
A consolidated Colombian gold asset with near-term catalysts
As Tiger Gold continues to consolidate and expand its Quinchía asset base, it stands at the intersection of renewed gold investment and Colombia’s emergence as a mining destination. With 100 per cent ownership secured, funded drilling underway and a resource update due in early 2027, the company is positioned to deliver disciplined, measurable progress.

Jim Gordon: Hi, I’m Jim Gordon, and you’re watching Market One Minute. Joining us is Robert Vallis. He is the President, CEO, and Director of Tiger Gold. Robert, I say this, welcome back.
Robert Vallis: Thank you, Jim. It’s a pleasure to be back.
Jim Gordon: It’s great to have you. And boy you guys have been busy at Tiger Gold. A lot has been accomplished in a very short period since we last talked. How has the project evolved, and how does the next six months look like to you?
Robert Vallis: Projects evolve rapidly, you know, aside from getting ourselves public, getting our drills on the ground, that’s three up running, stabilized, and efficient. It’s been marching through a 10,000-metre drill campaign to inform us on next steps. We’ve accomplished all of that ahead of schedule but learned more than we anticipated. So, it’s really positioned us well for the next six months, which is really a ramp up of those activities to bring forward more value sooner in terms of getting through the next steps of the project.
Jim Gordon: And Robert, talk to me and our viewers about Columbia. It has become increasingly attractive to international mining companies. What makes Columbia and specifically Quinchía District a compelling place to develop a gold mining project?
Robert Vallis: Jim, it checks every box from my perspective. coming from producers. You know, it’s what defines an emerging tier-one jurisdiction. And you may have heard me say it before. It checks the box on infrastructure, access to skilled labour. Obviously at the top of that list, the mineral endowment, which has just been outstripping most other gold jurisdictions for a few years now.
Jim Gordon: This is great that we can now confirm. You recently announced this. I want to get this. Tiger has exercised its option to acquire 100 per cent interest in Quinchía Gold Project. How important to you is the full ownership and as you continue to develop the project, what does this open up for your shareholders?
Robert Vallis: I would say initially what we’re doing with that, having executed as planned, is removing perceived or real overhang in terms of, you know, an allotment of our capital towards making property payments. We’re done. We hold 100 per cent of the property now. We can focus that capital on better returns for the shareholder with that capital. So that’s one. The second is de-risking. That represents a forward step in lowering the risk of this entire project for Tiger and for its shareholders. So, the fact we’ve done that really allows us, through the capital, but also through our planned efforts and executing on the ground, a pathway that’s really lower risk.
Jim Gordon: More good news, your latest Tesorito holes are among the best to date. What stands out about that, and how does that affect your year-end resource work?
Robert Vallis: It reflects on what I said earlier in that we’ve not only achieved what we said we’re going to do when we do it, but the results are even outstripping our expectations. This represents that, in the way that we’re infill drilling Tesorito, brings categorization up, and get it ready for the next stage of engineering. But it’s revealing that it has more to offer still. So, what that means is that we’re likely going to be elevating the grade, the amount of ounces, the size or scale or tonnes of the pit. So, it really is an all-round escalation in value that we’re bringing forward with Tesorito. Those holes represent that and demonstrate that, yes, it’s real. So, it’s exciting.
Jim Gordon: And Robert, more great news, you’ve just closed and oversubscribed $21-million financing to accelerate the drilling at Ceibal. What have you discovered there that’s got you and the investors so excited?
Robert Vallis: When I first looked at, you know, this asset with the original team members, it really struck me as something that had significant upside potential. When it came to Ceibal, there were holes drilled there, about eight holes. Five of them were fully mineralized from surface down to depths of over 500 metres. So, huge intercepts of mineralization. So, we knew there was a massive extension to the gold system. We now have opted to accelerate that drilling, knowing it’s there, just not knowing how big it is. And since we started doing that over the last two and a half months or so, it’s really revealing that we’re talking about something of significant scale and value that’s right there contiguous with Tesorito. So, it’s, again, an exciting opportunity to work towards doubling our resources. And to do that in the timeframe we’re talking about, you know, less than a year, is substantive. So, you know, we expect to have our arms around that probably in early ’27.
Jim Gordon: You trade on the OTCQB and volumes have picked up considerably in the last few months. With your experience in this field, how does the U.S. exposure support your growth strategy?
Robert Vallis: It’s really about focusing on delivering and increasing value in the share price. To do that starts with awareness. You know, we’re increasing the amount of eyeballs in the U.S., the amount of investor interest there as well. So, it’s really picked up the liquidity in the company. It’s allowed us to bring a lot more attention to the company as well so that we’re able to really have a supportive base to move forward with and, you know, a foundation for that value growth in the share price.
Jim Gordon: And Robert, your team brings over three decades of experience working with senior producers and developers, advancing projects and putting mines into production. How does that background shape the way Tiger Gold’s approaching this project?
Robert Vallis: That is shaped through what we bring collectively, which is discipline and knowledge, you know, to the process. That discipline comes from, as you said, years of moving through a process that we know works. It’s airtight. It delivers predictability and reliability into an operating asset. With that, our team, corporately, incredibly capable. You know, particularly led by our COO, Rickardo Welyhorsky. But that too, with him and the rest of us on the ground, we have a fantastic, capable, active team in Columbia covering everything from exploration to ESG, community engagement, you name it. So, we’re really well endowed, if you will, when it comes to the capability of a team that’s cross-functional to be able to not only secure, but deliver value to our shareholders in a way that’s responsible as well.
Jim Gordon: Robert, finally, what are the catalysts for you guys, Tiger Gold, for the next six to 12 months?
Robert Vallis: Say in the next six months, we’re looking at revamping our resources themselves. So, that means a new resource for Tesorito, drilling completed by the end of the year. So, you’ll see that new resource probably in January of ’27. Ceibal as well, an initial resource for that, likely mostly in the indicated category as well. So, a big step forward, not only for a new resource, but it’s categorization around the same time as well, probably the drilling by the end of the year, resource into January. That’s a big hurdle. That represents, for us, an over doubling of our two million ounces over four million ounces. That’s a major catalyst. Beyond that, by the end of Q1, we’re looking at having an updated PEA done that will incorporate the new resource and to find a project that’ll be greater in value, scope, and scale. And then probably by the 12-month mark this time next year, getting positioned to commence a pre-feasibility.
Jim Gordon: It’s great news. Congratulations.
Robert Vallis: Thank you.
Jim Gordon: A lot done in a very brief time.
Robert Vallis: A lot done. And a lot more to happen, yeah.
Jim Gordon: Robert, thank you very much for joining us.
Robert Vallis: Jim, thank you. Pleasure.
